Baldy Opening up more Terrain on Friday!

News Flash!!

Beginning this Friday, November 30, the Challenger # 10 lift will open providing access to additional terrain on Baldy.
Additional runs opening for the season will be Flying Squirrel, Lower Picabo, Lower Warm Springs, Roundhouse Slope and Lower Canyon.
The Warm Springs Day Lodge also will begin operation.

Come on up and enjoy the skiing!

Sun Valley Opens Thanksgiving Day!

Sun Valley will open on Thanksgiving Day on Dollar and Bald Mountains.  Access to Baldy via River Run Area and the  mountain will offer top to bottom skiing and boarding on River Run side only. (Two lifts running)   Dollar will have Quarter Dollar lift running.  River Run Lodge and Carol's Dollar Lodge will be open.

Lots of good snow up top with early season conditions at the base area.   Get your gear tuned up and ready... Here is a current photo from the web cam at the top of Baldy....Stay tuned for more updates.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SUN VALLEY AREA

The National Weather Advisory is calling for an accumulation of six inches of snow above 7500 ft. for today and tonight in the Sun Valley Area.
The significant drop in temperatures this week also gives Sun Valley Resort the opportunity to continue making snow on Dollar and Baldy Mountains, anticipating the traditional Thanksgiving opening

Trailing of the Sheep Festival

Trailing of the Sheep Festival starts today.  The herding competition begins tomorrow, this is something to watch.  Lots of specials and activities taking place in Hailey and Ketchum this weekend.  The Lamb Feast and Folk life Fair takes place all day on Saturday.  Be sure to watch as all the sheep move through Ketchum on Sunday.  Lamb specials at CK's and other locations in Hailey and Ketchum.  Drink specials at Mahoneys and Whiskeys......head on up for the weekend!
